Sunday in Cass Park with Friends & Forgotten Workers

Hello, everyone! We will be back in Cass Park next Sunday.

Maryanne Dunmire here: I want to start off by saying "thank you" to everyone who has stepped up to continue the work that Jim Rehberg and others have started. Our primary goal is to bring nourishing meals and community to our friends in the Cass Corridor.

I will post more later in the week.

Sunday in the Park with Friends & Forgotten Workers

Bringing nutritious meals to our friends in the Cass Park area, on the second Sunday in August.

Note from Maryanne: We have received complaints (and threats to call police) from a neighbor about vehicles parked in the park. Please, after you have dropped off your load, move your car/truck out to the street. We have generally had a good relationship with the neighbors & the police, and we don't want to mess that up. Thank you.

5th Annual Fundraiser for Sundays w/ Friends & Forgotten Workers

We will be serving a delicious spaghetti dinner with both meat sauce and vegetarian sauce, along with salad and garlic bread, and delicious desserts.

We ask for a donation of $15, but we urge you to give what you can. Nobody will be turned away because they can't pay. The income from this fundraiser buys the food and supplies for all of the healthy, nutritious hot meals we share with our friends at Cass Park, on the 2nd & 4th Sundays, all year 'round.

Two notes about parking:

1) Only the fenced lot behind the League and the row along the east side of the building are GL property (free). The big lot east of the League is privately owned, and he is now charging to park.

2) Parking zones have recently been created in Corktown for street parking. Observe parking fee collection units on each block.
